Mokpo korean old town best tourist attractions

Mokpo (Mokpo-si) ( 木浦市) is a major port city in South Jeolla Province , South Korea ,surrounded by hills facing the sea on the southwestern tip of the Korean Peninsula with a population of about 260,000. From Mokpo there are ferries to Tadohae Haesang National Park, Chin-do, Hong-do and Shinan island . The cheapest ferries to Chejo island also depart from Mokpo and the is now a ferry to Shanghai . Mokpo is the hometown of President Kim Dae-jung, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001

1. Yudal San park
A short climb gives a commanding view of the city with many pavalions . There are many scultures to be see here, If you wander off the main trails you can find old carving on the hilside . The building in front of the park is historical site #289, which used to be the Japanese consulate . There is a statue there of Yi-Sun-shin, who gazes at Nojok-bong hill. According to legend Yi-Sun-shin covered the hill with straw bags to imitate bags of rice to fool the invading Japanese army that he had more troops than there really were .

Gwangju Korea Nightlife Tourist Attractions

Gwangju  or Kwangju ((광주, 光州) is the sixth largest city in South Korea. Gwangju is best known for the Gwangju Massacre of May 1980, in which at least 207 (the number is disputed) students were killed by army forces suppressing a pro-democracy demonstration.

In Korea, Gwangju is famous for its local cuisine as is the province of Jeolla.

For your information, Gwangju is the sister city of Medan city, Capital of North Sumatera Province, Indonesia.

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress tourist attractions

Suwon (Suwon-si – 수원시) is a capital city of Gyeonggi-do Province. Suwon lies approximately 30 kilometres (20 miles) south of Seoul and is one of the most populous of Seoul’s satellite cities. It is traditionally known as “The City of Filial Piety”.

Suwon is a basicley a suburb of seoul. It is worth coming here for at least one day to excape seoul. Plus i found the air better here and the people alot nicer. So many people would stop to say hello. I loved it here. Go see it.

To get to suwon you must get on the korean Railway. it’s the same as using the subway. very easy and it doen’t cost much. It’s about a 40 min ride once you leave seoul. Make sure you get on the right trian!!!

Suwon has a rich history since it was founded during the Joseon Dynasty in the 18th century as a fortress city.

The biggest attraction in Suwon would be the big wall that goes around the old part of the city. This city was so well fortified becuase it used to be the capital of korea.

It’s city walls are a world heritage site and it offers a look back at South Korea’s past. It’s home to Hwaseong Fortress, Woncheon Amusement Park, Everland Amusement Park, The Korean Traditional Folk Village, and various temples and tombs.
