Richard Berry was a great African-American singer and songwriter, best known as the composer and original performer of the rock standards “Louie Louie” and “Have love will travel”. Check him out.

I Have to give respect becausse this song is the original and its awesome! but i like Dan Akyroyd and Jim Belushi’s version better just my personal opinion! What i like about it more is how powerful Jim and Dans voice is.

This version sounds a lot more like the way Richard Berry & The Pharoahs (the LA grease band that did the original version in ‘60) did it on stage in those days than Berry’s own 45. Same guy wrote “Louie, Louie,” btw. (Well, duh.)
